Dishwasher is only 4 years old and the top rack is rusting out. I love the dishwasher but never LG again. My previous brands have never rusted just replaced because the dishwasher quit. I wanted to try LG as I have Refrigerator and washing machine and love them.

At 2.5 years old the dishwasher racks started rusting and falling apart. At 3 years old the buttons no longer work. I thought I was buying quality when I outfitted my entire kitchen with LG appliances but boy was I wrong. 3 out of the 4 appliances have required repair at less than 3.5 years old. The two times I reached out to LG customer service for a warranty item they shot me down and did nothing to help me. Its sad where lg has gone in terms of qc and as a company in general. They have lost my business for good.

Looks Good. racks rotted out and was replaced under warranty. Control board died at 5 years and days. and LG wouldnt fix. It started getting flaky around year 3 but didnt completely die until year 5.1. Had to buy a new dishwasher. Thanks LG. The other LG appliances we bought at the same time have problems loose knobs on the range freezer racks breaking microwave switch broken microwave light out... i am staying away.

I am a senior citizen and someone sold me this WiFi dishwasher without telling me what it was. I never understood or used it on the internet. Eventually the idiot WiFi function failed and then stopped the dishwasher from working. The company was unable to help me troubleshoot the issue. I had a professional technician come out and he could not solve the issue even with LG tech support. I gave up and purchased another dishwasher which did not have the stupid WiFi feature. What does the internet have anything to do with washing dirty dishes. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Shame on LG for such a useless invention.

I bought this dishwasher because of the good reviews and have not been disappointed. It is beautiful very roomy and I love that the little spokes can be laid flat so you can put in larger dishes and different arrangements of dishes to maximize space. It is also very quiet when it runs you barely hear it at all. Its a good quality machine with really good features would buy it again.

I bought this piece of trash on 2018. On 2019 right 1 year after warranty expired the door started to fail. I figured out that to make the dishwasher to run I needed to pull the door up when closing it so the cycle would start. However half of the times the cycle will stop at mid cycle probably because same issue. Manufactures should offer 5 years warranty if they are so proud of their products or maybe they dont even trust what they build. This would be nice also for environment not having to buy a new appliance every 5/10 years

We use the dishwasher everyday since 2019 it washes dishes well. It has required a major repair every year of ownership. The dish basket perished with corrosion after 2yrs use the sump motor after just 4 years of use . has leaked due to heating element baking the seals. A known design weakness. The plastic control panel /door handle has cracked and failed also early 4yrs and required an expansive replacement. Disappointed by how quickly the product has failed.

I have owned the dishwasher since 2018 and I like the 3 rows and the moveable middle row. However almost immediately the middle row for cups bowls etc. began to have portions start to rust. Also when the dishwasher came to us there was a almost unnoticeable hairline crack on the touchpad-control panel where it power button is. Since then the crack has grown to the point that I cant power the dishwasher on by touching it. I was sent a new control panel but it has the same crack in the same place. When installing the new control panel/touch pad it powers on but none of the buttons on the right side work including the start button. If I could go back I would get a dishwasher with actual buttons instead of these simulated ones.

We purchased this LG dishwasher 3 1/2 years ago. It did a great job and we were very happy with it. We liked LG products as we had good TVs. We purchased an LG side by side refrigerator and we were happy with that. When it was around 2 years old the compressor went out. Fortunately it was under warranty and we werent charged for the part but we had to pay the repair bill. Lots of food was lost and the inconvenience of not have a refrigerator for 2 weeks was no fun. This was a quite fairly new and expensive refrigerator Now our LG dishwasher goes out and weve been without a dishwasher for weeks. The part again was under warranty but not the repairmans bill Seems like LG knows they have faulty parts After waiting to get the part the repairman put it on and it still wont work He even tried other parts to try everything he could After hours of trying he told me that we must have gotten a lemon. That dishwasher was only 3 1/2 years old What a waste Lots of money inconvenience and time without a dependable appliance we had put our confidence in. We will no longer buy LG appliances

I have had this machine for 5 years. The installation left the door crooked and it occasionally leaks but Ill put more blame on the installer rather than the dishwasher. Unfortunately after three years the dishwasher started sending a HE error code so I have to pay to have it replaced. On the plus side I really enjoy the smart part of it. Using a phone app alongside the dishwasher is wonderful. I wish more products move to this method.

My 12 year old LG dishwasher was working perfectly albeit not as quiet so because the family room opens off the kitchen I decided to invest in one of the quietist dishwashers LG makes plus additional new features like Quad wash and 3 racks. Easy in/out replacement through Costco and you can hardly heard the unit run. The water being let into the unit is the noisiest part. I bought my dishwasher from Abt Electronics in February 2020 shortly before the pandemic. It soon was leaking and had to be serviced more than 11 times most after the 1-year warranty had expired. I just ordered a new LB dishwasher and hope it will be better.

We bought this product 5 years ago when we remodeled our kitchen. We really liked it because it seemed to clean well. But it is barely 5 years old and the heating element has gone out. Not an inexpensive repair for a dishwasher. It is just my husband and me so our usage is even pretty low. Cost of diagnostic labor parts are 3/4 of the original cost of the dishwasher. Now we have to debate whether it is worth the cost of repairing or replacing an appliance that is less than 6yrs old. The compressor on our LG refrigerator purchased at the same time went out 4mos ago. Luckily it was 26 days before of the end of the extended warranty we purchased. This is shameful.

Well not the quality I expected

We bought this dishwasher from a local appliance store. It was brand new fresh out of the box. Within a year and a half the main control panel cracked in several places. Of course this part was covered under warranty but not the labor. LG recommended a local service technician to repair it. They overnighted a part to us assuming what was broke. This indicates to me that this is a common issue with this model. At the end of the day it almost cost us as much as the dishwasher to have it repaired. It took him 15 minutes and was not the most pleasant of gentlemen. Regardless I ended up staying home all day since the repair window was 8 AM to 5 PM. I was so frustrated with LG that I probably will never buy another product from them again. The dishwasher works fine but breaks easily for reference we do not have any children and are not rough on our appliances. This is the second LG product that weve had that has failed within two years of purchase. LG does warranty SOME components of their products but none of the labor.

It worked flawlessly about the first two years then stops mid-cycle to curse and beep at me. I think Ive figured out that the dishwasher door sensor doesnt sense the door is closed. Trying to find a part number is next to impossible as is speaking with a live person at LG. My next dishwasher which Ill need soon will NOT be a LG. Nor will any of my other appliances.

Have used this dishwasher for 3 years and have been very happy with it. One problem - the middle rack developed rust on the tips of many of the support bars. The dishwasher came with a 5 year warranty on the racks so LG replaced it under warranty. The Customer Service was excellent and very responsive. Overall the dishwasher performs very well and does a great job of getting the dishes clean. It is also extremely quiet. I would definitely purchase again.

This should actually be zero stars by the way. Bought a top of the line suite of LG stainless steel appliances at Lowes. The wife wanted all to match and LG was the only one they had in stock. Lowes said LG was a great brand. No they are not. We have had issues from day one. 10 minutes after the fridge was professionally installed the control panel literally blew They did fix this in a couple of days. We have had major issues with the fridge stove and dishwasher. All of which LG has fought to fix or replace. These are now only 4 years old. Now I am trying to get the dishwasher fixed. Same issue. No one in town services LG because hard to service and repair. Also very costly to repair IF they can even get parts. Absolutely the worst appliance company to deal with for customer service or to get repaired .

It lasted about 2.5 years before it started making weird groaning humming and clicking noises after the wash process had been running 30 minutes. It still works has good rack system and wash abilities but who knows how much longer it will last before the main wash pump gives out.

Rusted racks not covered under square trade

I bought this model 1 year ago. It was very quiet when I purchased the unit. Paid to have it installed when it was delivered from NFM. Today under square trade warranty the motor was replaced for free as everyday it got louder and louder the bearings went out. My initial call to SquareTrade was to get the racks replaced. The racks of rusted out left rust marks on the screen at the bottom of the unit also it has left rust marks on the door inside of the door and on my silverware and dishes. I was calling because I believe I deserve a new dishwasher. We noticed the rust on the dishes before we noticed that the racks were broken and showing rust. The repairman actually changed the motor in less than 5 minutes did an adjustment so that we could use the top controls we never could use them after Nebraska furniture Mart installed the unit.

Purchased in 2019. Started having issues late last year. After powering up and selecting cycle and then start only about half the time the cycle would start but then quit midway through. LG sent tech who replaced the whole panel but immediately the same problem came back. Im so exhausted with these problems. And to make things worse it is not even a quiet dishwasher which was main reason for the purchase.

Few months when I bought this item there was a crack on top of the door of the washer. When I called LG they said there was nothing they can do . Its cosmetic.
