Great Disappointment- non functioning after 2 ye

I have had this refrigerator for two years and loved it until now. It has excellent capacity shelf organization and beautiful design. However the cooling fan stopped working a month ago and the refrigerator is now useless and the freezer is barely working. Repair companies report that they cannot obtain LG parts and I should not have bought from LG. Purchased in 4/2023 and the solution is to buy a new refrigerator? Buyer beware.

Purchased this unit in 2016 it stopped fully cooling two weeks ago and slowly got warmer and warmer until it completely stopped last week. We thought it was the compressor and discovered wed have to pay $500 to have the repair done - though the compressor would be under warranty...only to find that there is a Yoder Loop Leak inside the door of the refrigerator and the unit was deemed *unrepairable*. After only 8.5 years of use it is completely broken and cannot be fixed Apparently this type of failure is a known issue and there are multiple related lawsuits in court records. In our situation LG has been incredibly unhelpful offering only a 15 discount on a replacement. Im still waiting to hear back from the supervisors who promised to call. Against our better judgment we ordered another one using the discount code paid to have it delivered as quickly as possible since we have no refrigerator in the meantime received confirmation that it would be delivered the next business day and called the delivery team only to find that they cant deliver it for two more days. In the meantime weve had no functional refrigerator for about a week and counting. LG says they are very sorry for the inconvenience but I am beyond frustrated at this point - for being left with a defective refrigerator and no solution for total lack of support and delayed delivery - which I paid for.

Deceiving vent openings and poor cooling

Ive owned this fridge for a month and noticed it just doesnt get cold enough in the fridge. So after some additional research and testing only the right side of the vents actually blow air leaving the left side a good 3-4 degrees warmer. This results in temperatures in the 40s especially in the door which is highly unsafe. People check the temperature of your fridge

Faulty compressors requiring frequent replacements

I am giving it 2 stars only because we like the refrigerator itself but not how it works. I am giving 0 stars for customer service and companys blatant disrespect of its customers. We bought similar model in Jan 2019 2018 model. 2 years later the compressor went for the 1st time. Luckily compressors have a ten-year warranty and not one. Replaced after long debate with customer service trying to persuade us it was not a compressor. Since then compressors go every 1.5 years. Lost a lot of food around Christmas time of 2023 because of compressor failing again. LG wanted us to pay for labor because warranty was up. We argued that compressor is still under warranty and we should not be punished for LGs failed product. Regular customer service was extremely rude and did not want to escalate hung up the phone twice on me. It was escalated only after we emailed CEO of customer service and company. Then a person from escalation department admitted that LG made and/or continues to make faulty compressors. She agreed to replace compressor and not charge for labor. She also promised to send $300 for the lost food check never arrived. Welp we are in Aug 2025 and our compressor said goodbye again. Called LG 3 weeks ago and received the same you have to pay for labor because warranty is up I asked to escalate and was told someone would get back to me. This was on July 28th. No one called or emailed. I called LG today to follow-up received lot of useless oh no sorry this happened to you again and no one got back to you The call was lost twice someone called back after the first disconnect. Call was disconnected the second time while I was waiting for a supervisor to call me on the other line no call back after this disconnect. Had to call back for the THIRD time only to hear I will send my superiors an escalation request because we are limited on what we can do on our end Judging by 12-star reviews describing similar issues LG did not bother to fix their compressor problem and continues to use these faulty compressors. Do better LG Respect your customers and provide a product that does not require replacement every 1.5-2 years though it is profitable for your company. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

The fan motor had issues from condensation/frost buildup just towards the end of the 2 year warranty. The replacement/fix is $450. If you dont want to waste the $2000 buy the extended warranty.

Fridge seems solid. LG support not so much. Complete run around. I unboxed right outside the 30 day return due to a delay in remodel. The fridge had a sizable dent in the door. Originally they agreed to a return at a $190 restocking fee. Then would not honor that. Then sent me to a dealer to replace the door at $425. Ive spent multiple hours on the phone and chat. LG please help me. I just would like the door replaced. You can look at all this notated on my account.

On Thursday at approximately 7pm LG Electronics Home Appliances sent their service repair company. I confirmed this appointment by text within 24 hours of scheduling. I notified the technician my refrigerator freezer had became cold again and it may be the ice box or seal. He responded he would look upon his arrival. I moved a few items away from the freezers venting my freezer began to fully function to climate 2 days prior to our appointment. Since this was a $125 non refundable service with a $450 retainer fee I to allowed LGs service technicitan to enter our home to verify full function. He informed me at the time of arrival in order to check function he would have to put a hole in the fridge to check the gas evaporation and compression and it would put my refrigerator out of commission for 1-2 weeks pending new parts arriving since hes unable to fix the hole after dialysis. I informed him this was not disclosed to me my one year old and family have food and medication and my freezer is in working order. I would be willing to reschedule and prepare my over stocked $4000 worth of stored food and perishables. Being 7:30pm at night my infant was falling asleep and I had no way to preserve all our food and medications at this house. He made a call to his manager in what I thought was a reschedule. I allowed him to speak to his representatives while I put my child to bed. Upon checking on LGs service technician he was behind my refrigerator and stated my compressor is broken. I informed him my refrigerator was working just fine and to put my compressor back into my refrigerator. He refused to re install my compressor said it was broken and said he does not have the right equipment to repair the compressor and hell have to come back. The technician was not able to repair the compressor because it was installed a brand new compressor last year by a private appliance company who customized the connection. LG wanted to keep my full retainer since nothing was wrong he vandalized my property. Not only did LGs technician vandalize my property 2 days after his departure I contacted my private appliance technician to fix LGs unethical business but to help preserve our $4000 worth of food and medication that was on ice for 2 days. Upon his arrival and opening the back of our refrigerator my compressor was gone. LGs technician not only vandalized my property he robbed and stole my brand new compressor I paid $700 for. The following day I notified LG. I spoke to over 3 representatives who were unable to provide any clarity confirmation or compensation until their work order was completed. Upon speaking with LGs 4th representative she informed me they did not complete the claim and she would submit it. She stated they would not discuss reimbursement for the appointment for pending the service technician response and the appointment was not refundable and a new compressor is being ordered and someone would get back to me in another 24-48hours. My call to LG over a over filled blocked freezer vent not only cost me my $450 service call but a $700 compressor a $2000 refrigerator over $4000 in food and refrigerated medication and an additional $2000 to expedite a new refrigerator to be able to feed my child. Never mind missing work for 3 days door dash deliverys of ice new food and medications and sleepless night to figure how to support my family. It is now the 48th hour and LG has yet to make one call email or contact to me since my initial communication of this property damage unprofessional and unethical service provided.

Just beware that while refrigerators used to last for years and had good warranties that is no longer the case with LG. After 18months I had to replace the main board on a 2K machine. Warranty was past. Then I found out my neighbor had the same thing happen with LG. I wrote to several customer service leaders there and they didnt bother to even reply. Buyer beware.

We like this refrigerator LRFLC2706S. Delivered in early July 25. Our son has had his about a year and we purchased the same one. Unlike our sons refrigerator which I helped set-up for him and added a water supply hook-up in his home for the ice maker and refrigerator water our LRFLC27062 leaned back too much. And the height of the rear wheels are not adjustable. Our floor is level. I added a block of wood under each rear wheel measuring 0.380 inches thick. This allowed me to make the refrigerator level with some adjustability forward or backward using the adjustable front foot pads. With our refrigerator now level the doors operate smoothly when opening closing. No more slamming of the doors when we close them. And the pull out bin in the freezer no longer glides backwards when accessing it. The installation now looks proper when the refrigerator is viewed from the side. I have read others have this non-level leaning backward issue. Some think its a design feature. I do not. Again my sons LRFLC2706S purchased little over a year ago doesnt lean backward. I think this a manufacturing defect. The rear wheels were not properly placed creating too much backward lean when installed. But I corrected this error and it is a big improvement.

After a year with this fridge I decided to share my experience. I really shopped a long time before deciding on this one and I am happy with my choice. I had a noisey Frigidaire side-by-side with door dispenser for 17 years before this. Compared with my new one I dont miss it. This one is so quiet I dont hear it running my hearing is not great. I had to adjust to opening the door for water or ice but the trade-off is worth it. The 26 cu ft space is amazing. I never struggle to fit more in. The smudge-free SS finish is surprisingly effective and very easy to clean. Also easy is installing adjusting shelves opening and closing doors and drawer changing filters. I did take a while to adjust to the three-door layout but that too was worth it. I will mention some of the negatives here so you know I am sincere. It does stick out 5.75 past the counter plus handles or the door bangs the cabintry. The ice system is slow and a bit stuck together. The controls are not easy to figure out. Despite these drawbacks if a tree fell on it today I would buy another one just like it.

Over the weekend I was looking to purchase a counter depth french door fridge using your BOGO offer. I selected a qualifying fridge 27 cu. ft. Smart Counter-Depth Max French Door Refrigerator$1599.00 SKU: LRFLC2706S.ASTCNA0 and added the second fridge as directed by your website. Both were in my cart but I continued to be charged $349 for the smaller fridge at checkout despite that it was promised to be free. This is false advertising I called customer service and attempted the chat but customer service was not available on a holiday and the chat was useless. I could not wait another day so I made the purchase. Now when I talk with customer service no one can help me. I have been on the phone talking with various representatives for 55 minutes without any type of resolution. Also the delivery date had stated a Saturday delivery but then after I paid the date changed to Monday and no one could help me change the delivery date. Your customer service is abhorrent. I have learned that unless LG changes its policy to offer false advertising and provide poor customer service I will need to shop elsewhere. I am so disappointed.

Mothers Dont Want Difficult Cleaning

I was ecstatic when we got our fancy large capacity refrigerator Interior filtered water. Stainless Steal. Door Alert. Temperature and Humidity control. I finally felt rich and I was happy HOWEVER that all changed when it was time to do my weekly cleaning. Why the fudge did your design team put a groove in the fruit and produce drawers? I have kids and worse a husband Small particles from fruits veggies etc inevitably fall off and end up in the drawers. No biggie. UNTIL you try to clean them out. Look Im a stay at home mom. Life sucks. I dont want to spend a crap load of time trying to scoop out all those little particles from an ill-designed drawer. Q-tips napkins a brush a SMALLER brush a FREAKING VACUUM Its bad enough I have to buy the groceries put away the groceries and feed my ungrateful soul sucking energy draining and time consuming family BUT I also have to clean Not only that everyone wants to keep up with the Jones and NO ONE wants friends to see a dirty refrigerator and second guess whether or not they want to eat your food. On top of that WHY OH WHY is the ice maker drawer exposed? Someone with a fridge this big obviously has a family and everyone knows kids are messy Particles from the fridge or anything else those germ carrying spawns carry fall into the ice WHO THE FUDGE WANTS TO USE DIRTY ICE? So my non-whatever engineering degree you need to design a fridge was smart enough to put plastic wrap taped from the ice dispenser to the extended door opened ice storage bin. SO be sure to call it the Silvia Smith when you redesign a better freezer with an ice storage cover I mean as a mother I just want to relax in peace and quiet for the few hours everyone is away at school and work and watch my trash tv shows INSTEAD of frustratingly trying to clean that small annoying drawer canyon

Poor design of mullion between doors

I purchased February 2024. The mullion between the 2 french doors has slipped multiple times causing the refrigerator not to be air tight. I tried to fix it but there doesnt appear to be a way to tighten it up. My neighbor bought the same refrigerator and has the same problem. There are also 2 display models at Home Depot that have the same problem.

LGs Poor Customer Service Not Worth It

This fridge is nice but it was delivered with dents in the doors. Because my home renovation took longer than expected I am now stuck with these dents. I tried calling LG 4 times now. Each time they claim I am in the repair queue but I have never received an email or ETA on when the repair will happen after over two months of waiting. Lots of time and money wasted on this.

Nice but Print Proof not Worth the Money

The fridge is great. I purchased a Thermo Works thermometer to measure inside temps of fridge and freezer it holds temperature well. Theres lots of space in the fridge. The print proof is just a clear film applied over the stainless steel that still leaves marks. Ours arrived with the film already peeling up at the edges. It got progressively worse and ended up removing it completely as it looked so bad. Luckily it didnt leave the SS surface sticky. The unit looks much better in my opinion. Well also be removing it from the LG dishwasher.

I had a counter depth refridge before from another maker and it really sacrificed capacity. I love my LG it is spacious in both compartments and on the door. Wished the stainless finish was more fingerprint resistant

It is so spacious and we were able to program an alarm on the fridge to go off after 2 minutes of the doors being open which is very helpful with our little kids.

Mixed... We really like the refrigerator...but... after owning it for 5 weeks we started to notice water on the floor in front of it. Since our sink and dishwasher are nearby it took a bit of time to figure out that it was the refrigerator. After checking the water lines no leaking and working with online support they scheduled and sent out a local technician and he quickly found the problem. During manufacturing LG plugged up the freezer drain behind the backwall of the freezer compartment with spray foam insulation. Major manufacturing defect. With a drain opening the condensation filled up in the bottom of the freezer compartment and eventually flowed out onto our floor....in little trickles over time but enough to warp our hardwood floor. The tech drilled the spray foam insulation out of the drain and it is mostly draining correctly now but we are still getting some water buildup in the bottom of the freezer.

Great refrigerator with a lot of room

Weve had this French door refrigerator for a couple of months and really like. There is so much room 27 cu ft that for two people looks empty. Its nice to have so much room for products. The one aspect I didnt like was the water spigot inside the refrigerator but find that the water comes out very quickly so the door isnt open a long time. I still would have preferred it in the door like my one refrigerator had but can live with this minor setback. I dont like ice in the door so this refrigerator is great that the ice maker is in the freezer portion. All in all we are quite pleased with this LG refrigerator.

I have had this fridge for a month now and am very happy with the design the space and the ease of cleaning the front of it due to the finger print resistance. There is so much room in the door shelves and that allows more organization overall. A gallon of milk and two half gallons sized containers can fit in the bottom door shelf. Its so easy to see everything on the shelves and the freezer is soo big I am very pleased with it. The only slight negative is that the doors have to stick out a little more to clear the pantry and wall on either side of the fridge but that is worth the trade-off to me. Also note that most counter depth fridges are a smidge wider these days but that didnt create a problem for us.

I have owned my LG refrigerator for a little over 2 months. I am happy with its performance thus far. Love the look of it with the drinking water access on the inside.Very easy to keep the exterior looking nice and clean. A quick wipe down is all that is necessary

We bought this fridge after a builder grade KitchenAid fridge died. We had some apprehension about LG fridges but read all the great things about their new compressor. I was stunned by the on paper capacity of this counter depth fridge and man it does not disappoint. Way way more spacious and functional door storage makes this fridge incredible. Its simple. No door ice which is good for reliability. Doesnt have custom humidity for crispers but Im okay with that. The space space space makes up for it

Roomy sleek functional. This fridge is only 3 wider than my old fridge and it can fit so much more I didnt really care for a built in water filter but now I love that I have ice all the time filtered water is out of the way and the filter is easy to change. The interior is very roomy and can fit all of my weekly groceries food prep and left overs. The side door can fit 8 bottles of 1.5 liters bottles each side I dont know how everything fits but Im super happy with my purchase.

This is our second LG refrigerator overall we are happy with it. We have had an issue with the ice maker but it is minor. The counter depth style has plenty of room for storage of all our food and I like the sleek design and fingerprint resistant stainless finish.

The LG French Door LRFLC2706S was bought in November 2023. I like roominess of the interior and the way it is arranged. Decided not to use the ice maker or cold water features. Just turned them off. The stainless steel finish remains relatively print free if your hands are clean and dry the smudging primarily occurs when they are not. There are no children in the house. The fridge operated well until October 2024. Unfortunately in late October of 2024 the fridges interior digital screen showed an error that required repair not troubleshooting. Contacting LG reporting the problem and requesting warranty repair went quickly and smoothly. There was a 10 day wait for service because the local warranty repair company needed to order parts all of which were available. The technician replaced one of the main circuit boards and the condenser fan. He contacted LG before he left and confirmed that a very recent firmware update which he did not have was also needed but he said that the fridge would operate OK until it was installed. He said he would notify his supervisor that another tech visit was necessary to install the firmware. I also sent an e-mail to the service provider asking them to install the firmaware while the fridge was still under warranty. The authorized warranty service provider contacted me the next day and set an appointment for the firmware install on the following day. The fridge is now operating more consistently within specified temperature limits for the fridge and freezer than when it was new.

The freezer drawer on the bottom was Problematic. Now for the last two weeks it has not been working for a repairman to come back. This refrigerator is a little bit over a year old so Im terribly unhappy with it. I spent the extra money on quality LG and here I have a lemon. Hopefully in the next week the repairman will return with a condenser and fix it but Ive had all my groceries ruined and had to buy $100 refrigerator to tide me over if I could return it I would

Nice refrigerator but some problems

I bought this refrigerator about 2 months ago and immediately had a problem with the handle of the freezer door falling off on one side. Also the flap in between the doors didnt open and close. LG sent a technician out to fix the handle successfully but he didnt fix the flap though he said it was fixed. I still need a service call to get it fixed. As a refrigerator it works well and is well laid out for easy use.

Old fridge died so got this one. Its a good fridge for the most part. The water filter is leaving some charcoal in the water but when I called they sent a new one for free. The other problem is the ice in the freezer freezes together into a big ice chunk so I have to completely empty and start over. I like everything else. Lots of room for everything adjustable shelves. The holders in the door are big and store a lot of stuff. The ones at the bottom are hidden and I almost missed them although theyre not good for much except maybe small cans. I also wish there was a separate section for the butter. But overall Im happy with my purchase. I do like the online link for questions and information although sometimes I need help figuring out how to do some things.

LG customer service is horrendous

Weve had the fridge for a couple days and have no complaints. Quite a bit more space than the Samsung we got rid of. However the left door came dented upon installation. The installer made it sound like it would be simple to replace. LG customer service says the only option is to return the entire fridge first then wait up to 10 business days for a replacement leaving me without a fridge. I already regret going with LG for appliances.
