Dangerous Defect and No Support from LG

We bought the oven in April and installed it in May. I love the oven itself and its features. Weve enjoyed all the bells and whistles however the enamel coating chipped or a bubble popped on the inside of the lower oven on the top near the heating element - a clear manufacturing defect. Sharp enamel shards got into the food we were cooking and now the oven is unusable. A repair technician came by and is not able to fix it - the unit needs to be replaced. LG customer service has been giving us the runaround on replacing the oven. Sep 5: A member of our team will be in touch with you within 4-8 business hours to assist you further. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Best regards LG Electronics Your case number is VCN250905066209 This was 9/5 and I am writing this on 9/11. We have not gotten a call back and when we called to follow up they hung up on us LG needs to make this right

Poor customer service

The oven works well so far but we have a small plastic cover for the upper door hinge that is broken and we cannot get a replacement for it. This is a very cheap plastic part the size of a lego block. We spent hours with customer support over several months most were trying to be helpful one was rude but we never got the replacement part with no updates from LG. We have other LG appliances dishwasher laundry fridge that suffered early problems and died faster than the industry average and LG repairs have been very difficult under warranty. I cannot recommend LG as a brand that backs their customers.

MAJOR DESIGN FLAW IN MICROWAVE

I bought this combination oven in Dec 2024 and was pretty happy with the looks and general working. One day I accidentally spilled some tea in the microwave. This was a very usual spill nothing that would have taken more than a couple of minutes to clean in my previous GE microwave/oven combo. BUT in this LGs combo oven when I started cleaning the floor of the microwave after removing the spinning trays I realized there are vents on the floor where there was NO access to clean. My tea could be seen accumulated and there is absolutely no way to get to it. I looked up the manual which came with the oven but there was no mention of the vent and what to do to clean the floor of the microwave. I reached out to LG support multiple times and got absolutely no help. Considering I bought this via Costco I reached out to them and LG responded: Please be advised that we do not dispatch technician for cleaning this is considered a maintenance issue. This product has a HUGE design flaw and it is something you wont realize until you spill something in the microwave. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS COMBINATION OVEN.

We have only had the opportunity to use the oven a couple of times but find theres a great improvement over our 20-year-old appliance. Our first baking experience had everything come out like a professional. In terms of the microwave were still getting use to the cool down which seems to operate longer than the actual microwaving for quick heating. But we love the space and ease of use.

Terrible installation and customer service

I purchased this product including home delivery installation and haul away of the existing appliance. One day prior to the scheduled delivery I was provided with a time window after 2:30 pm. I scheduled my day based on this window but unfortunately at 10:30 am I received a text that the delivery team was on the way. Upon arrival the installation team promptly unpacked the appliance covering my kitchen in styrofoam. They then examined my existing appliance which like the vast majority of wall ovens was installed in kitchen cabinetry. They decided that they did not know how to remove it or install the new one in the existing cutout. Additionally they informed me that they were not certified to install an electrical oven and had brought a gas installation kit instead. Furthermore they informed me that they would leave the appliance as is and I would need to hire someone else to perform the installation. I asked them to take the new oven with them until a capable team became available. After a brief discussion they agreed. I reached out to the delivery company and separately to LG to schedule the installation but after spending several hours on the phone and waiting for several days no solutions were provided. The tracking for this order falsely states Consumer fully refuses the order. LG agreed to refund the purchase price. It has been 12 days since the attempted delivery and it still has not happened. Called the customer service again today and was informed that the previous support personnel failed to create RMA ticket despite their assurances to the contrary and therefore it will be be additional 10 business day before the refund is issued. Will update if/when it happens.

Beautiful Oven - Buyer Beware of Terrible Support

Bought this and had it installed. Never worked from the beginning. LG tech came out and said we were only getting 100V to the box. So I paid for an electrician to come troubleshoot the circuit and he verified 250V going to the box. Called LG back who promised to get another tech out to check but no response. Another call to LG who now said they had no record of our phone number so sorry. So now we have an expensive boat anchor sitting in our kitchen. This is unacceptable.

Bad quality control exceptionally bad support

Oven had 3 issues and we havent even turned it on yet: 1. bottom oven door panel is misaligned larger gap on the right vs the left side 2. control panel is jutting out of the wall instead of being flush 3. plate joining the lower oven to the upper oven is bent This clearly looks like a poorly assembled unit. LG said they will send a technician. After waiting the whole day for the technician I called and the service center said that they dont service this oven. 2 days have passed and LG cannot reschedule because the previous appointment in the past is still not cancelled in their system. really bad hardware backed by awful customer support

The microwave should have the feature to just push the number that would correlate to minutes how long youd like to cook something. Now the actual oven? Oh man The air fryer feature on this thing is AMAZING and therefore gets rid of an appliance on my countertop

I placed a correct order it was ordered pending part ordered then the tech cancelled it again.
